Love Always - Phoenix Scrapbooking and Stuck?! Sketches

My layout for the Dec 1st challenge at Stuck?! Sketches!
I just love this stunning collection, Love Always, from Cocoa Vanilla Studios. The colours are soft and the embellishments, chipboard, vellum pieces, flowers, flair and sparkly dots, are all so beautiful and easy to use!!
I got this collection from a new exciting on-line shop that has opened in New Zealand!! Phoenix Scrapbooking and Crafts!! New Zealand girls, check it out!!

Have a great day!

Stuck?! Nov 15th New bed

The rails came off the cot and Chloe had her first sleep in her big girls bed, with her new pillow and blankets! A 3 hour afternoon nap! Definitely ready! This layout is for the November 15th sketch at Stuck?! Sketches.

Love this sketch:

Sue :)

Scrap the Girls - Poxy Babe

Poor little Madi got the chicken pox last weekend. At first she "hated" them and wouldn't even take her clothes off because she didn't want to see them! But after a couple of days we convinced her she was still beautiful and could still be a 'poser' for photos! I have used the pics of our 'Poxy Foxy Babe' for the sketch challenge at Scrap the Girls.

The photos don't actually show how covered she really was!

Sue :)

Scrapbooking Top 50 - Every day has a story

I love the sketch at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia for their November challenge.
The girls came to stay at Nannie and Pop's for the weekend while Mum and Dad had a long weekend away. Just our luck that Miss M came down with the chicken pox!! So a quiet weekend at home! No parks, visits with cousins, fluffies or ice-cream shops to entertain them with! At least we have a big garden!

Sue :)

Having just turned 3, Master B is a whiz at jigsaw puzzles. Pop found this one on a recent trip to the States and it was perfect timing because he has the chicken pox and is housebound for a couple of weeks!

Moments - Show us Your Stuff

I couldn't wait to do something with this awesome sketch for the September Show Us Your Stuff challenge. The criteria is to use a handmade item and some mixed media.

For my mixed media background, I saw a Heidi Swapp video using gel texture medium, letting it dry and then putting it through the Minc, with foil on top. I used Golden Regular Gloss Gel and it worked perfectly!! I was so excited!! I also used a green mist, swishes of Liquid Metals, stamping (words) and washi tape.
My handmade item is a beautiful Charm's Creations heart with Butterfly.

The cool sketch:

Sue :)

I got... For Scrap the Boys

The challenge theme for Scrap the Boys this month is "Not Happy!"
This photo my daughter-in-law sent the other day was perfect for this theme!! Someone's sister was having a little nappy free time! She sneezed! And pooped over him! His face says it all!!

Rural view for June at ARTastic

The June challenge is up at ARTastic and has a rural theme!
I was inspired by the sun filtering through the mist in this amazing painting by Eliot Gruner, 'Spring Frost Study'.
I have rural views from my deck and took the photo on an early autumn morning.

My rural view -later in the day:

The sketch:

The word at Scrap Our Stash is: STASH

A - arrow
S - stencil (the pink dots)
H - hearts (one hessian from Charm's Creations and a gold glitter one)

Cheers,

Poolside - Scrap the Girls

Such a gorgeous mood board at Scrap the Girls this month. I have actually done 2 layouts using it, but, one is waiting for a photo of a new granddaughter who is 3 days overdue and still very cosy where she is!!
So, here is the other one: Sweet Chloe hasn't actually enjoyed the pool up until the last couple of weeks, but this week I did get these pics while she was still smiling!

The mood board: I was inspired by the scallops, circles and colours.

Have a great Anzac weekend.
Remembering those who died for our freedom.
